We work with a broad selection of stone products -- from real quarried limestone, granite, and fieldstone to high-quality manufactured stone veneer that replicates natural stone at a lighter weight and lower cost. We bring stone samples to your home so you can see colours and textures against your existing exterior. Together we select the perfect stone, profile, and mortar colour.
We install weather-resistant barriers, metal lath, and scratch coats to create a secure bonding surface for the stone veneer. Existing surfaces are cleaned and prepped as needed.
Each stone piece is cut, fitted, and adhered by hand with attention to natural variation, joint spacing, and overall pattern flow for an authentic, high-quality appearance.
Joints are filled with colour-matched mortar, tooled for a clean finish, and the entire surface is sealed to resist moisture penetration and staining.
Natural stone is quarried rock -- heavier, more expensive, and uniquely textured. Manufactured stone veneer is a concrete-based product moulded to look like natural stone. It's lighter, easier to install, and significantly more affordable while offering a very convincing natural appearance. Both are excellent choices depending on budget and application.
Stone veneer can be applied to most exterior wall types including concrete block, poured concrete, brick, and wood-framed walls with proper substrate preparation. Each surface type requires specific prep -- metal lath and scratch coat for wood-framed walls, direct adhesion for concrete. We assess your walls and prepare them correctly.
We install a weather-resistant barrier and proper flashing at all horizontal transitions, window sills, and rooflines before applying any stone. This creates a waterproof layer that directs any moisture away from your home's structure, even if water penetrates the mortar joints over time.
Very little. An occasional rinse with a garden hose keeps stone looking fresh. We recommend inspecting mortar joints every few years and repointing any that have cracked or eroded. Sealed stone surfaces resist staining and can go years between resealing applications.
