Frequently Asked Questions
Pondless waterfalls require very little maintenance — occasional debris removal and an annual pump check. Pond-based waterfalls need regular attention to water quality, algae control, and seasonal maintenance. We can design the system that matches your maintenance preference.
Most residential waterfalls are winterized (drained and shut down) for the Ontario winter to prevent freeze damage to pumps and plumbing. However, some specially designed features can run year-round with proper insulation and heating elements — we can advise on the best option for your climate zone.

No — moving water actually deters mosquitoes, which prefer still water for breeding. Our waterfall systems use recirculating pumps that keep water constantly flowing, so mosquitoes are not an issue with any of our water feature designs.
